- assessment

- apprenticeship preparation
- job‑specific Skills for Success training
These services are already funded and designed for adults in work and training.
Partnering with us helps you connect directly with the workplace skills for success that best fit your business and workforce needs. By acting as a central hub, networks make it easier for you to find the right local Get SET provider and access tailored training solutions that address real on‑the‑job tasks. The result is targeted, job‑relevant upgrading that improves productivity, safety and retention while saving you time and coordination effort.
We can also support you by conducting an organizational skills assessment. This assessment can identify gaps in reading, writing, numeracy, digital skills and other skills for success affecting productivity, safety, retention and customer service. This assessment can give you a clear, low‑risk starting point. It’s a short, structured assessment with a concise report of findings and concrete recommendations for next steps. This is so you can invest in training that is targeted, measurable and aligned with your business or service goals. We can offer assessments that use proven tools and processes to scan a workplace, gather input from managers and staff and pinpoint the specific skills that need strengthening. Then, we’ll connect you to tailored training options through local skills upgrading programs or customized on‑site upgrading. Click here to view an example of steps in an assessment.
Partnership Example
A great example of an employer and learning network partnership is between Literacy Link South Central (LLSC) and Support Ontario Youth (SOY). Both organizations saw that many people who were “apprenticeship‑ready” were still being tripped up by literacy, math and digital skills barriers rather than technical ability.
Through Step Up and Succeed and ARISE, SOY focuses on attracting, registering, and mentoring apprentices and employers, while LLSC and the Get SET system provide the assessment and upgrading that help those apprentices handle applications, in‑class training, and exams. Together they offer joint navigation support, connect apprentices to scholarships and financial supports, and give small and mid‑sized employers an easy way to refer workers for foundational skills help. These projects and partnerships work to ensure that more apprentices can start, persist, and complete their apprenticeship.
